Quick Dine Split

About Quick Dine Split

Quick Dine Split is an independently maintained restaurant bill splitter and tip calculator. It helps a group turn one receipt into clear payment amounts without creating an account.

Who maintains the site?

The creator publishes under Jamie Carter, a pen name, to keep their personal name private. Jamie Carter is not a separate employee or an invented financial expert. Quick Dine Split is the website's publishing name, not a claim of incorporation or professional accreditation.

You can contact the creator at contact@quickdinesplit.com with a calculation question, correction, or accessibility problem.

What the tool does

Equal mode divides a total among up to 100 paying shares. Person mode accepts up to 30 order totals, allocates added tax proportionally, and divides the tip equally among rows with positive orders. Both handle leftover currency units so the displayed payments reconcile with the calculated total.

Those rules are choices, not a definition of fairness for every dinner. Person mode does not allocate tip proportionally to orders. Currency selection changes formatting and precision, not exchange rates. The tool does not scan receipts, assign individual dishes, collect payments, or save a shareable bill.

Why the guides are here

A correct division is useful only when the group agrees what belongs in it. Our help guides explain receipt amounts, tip calculations, shared costs, and payment conversations. Worked examples show the inputs and totals so readers can check the reasoning themselves.

Examples are labelled fictional or illustrative unless an actual source is identified. We do not present invented restaurant visits, biographies, or testimonials as evidence. Read the editorial policy for our approach to drafting, sources, and corrections.

Privacy and limitations

Calculator entries are processed in your browser. Names are optional labels. Copy and Share can pass results to your clipboard or an app you choose. Contacting us by email is different: your message and address are processed by our email providers. See the Privacy Policy for those distinctions and information about hosting and advertising technologies.

Always compare the calculation with the final restaurant receipt. The website gives general information, not individual tax, legal, or financial advice.
